    Pet CBD Dosage Guidelines 

    Before considering dosing, here are some of the health conditions that CBD can help treat in your pet.  Always check with your health care professional.

    • Anxiety and stress

    • Moderate to severe pain

    There are three major factors that influence the dosing of CBD for dogs (and cats).

    • The potency of CBD in the oil, treat, or capsule

    • Your pet’s size and weight

    • The ailment you’re treating

    The best advice we can give you, is to start small and then ease into dosing guidelines.  We formulate and test our CBD to make sure it's effective.  If this is the first time you have tried CBD for your pet we suggest starting with the lowest dose and observe your pet for signs that they are more comfortable, at ease, and seem calmer.  The effects normally take 20 to 30 minutes to kick in and can last anywhere from 4 to 12 hours depending on metabolism rates, just like we humans. 

     

    Calculating CBD Oil Dosages For Medicinal Use

    If you’re planning on using CBD oil for medicinal purposes, e.g., to treat arthritis pain or ease seizures, here’s how to calculate a safe and effective dosage for your pet. First, you need to calculate approximately how many milligrams (mg) of CBD your pet should have based on their weight. A safe rule of thumb is 0.2mg of CBD per pound. So, if your pet weighs 25 pounds, you’ll give them 5mg of CBD. Therefore you will give 2 to 3 squirts.  Mixing it in a small amount of food or treat like peanut butter can make it easier to take.

    Each 6 squirts or pumps for tincture = 1ml  which = 10mg 

    1 to 10lb pet = 1 squirt 

    11 to 25 lb pet = 2 to 3 squirts

    26 to 40lb pet = 3 to 4 squirts 

    41 to 55lb pet = 4 to 5 squirts 

    56 to 60lb pet = 5 to 6 squirts
