Self proclaimed Creationist, she loves to figure things out, make difficult things easy, teach, give gifts from the heart, and wear the kettle out, doing it all!
Lived most of her life in and around the fitness and wellness industry, started teaching aerobics at 17 and by the age of 18 was on the board of Ontario Fitness Council. Studied Marketing and business at Durham college, Fitness Specialist at York University, Hotel and Restaurant Management at Humber College.
She started her first business in Ontario at the age of 21, “Wellness Works Inc” a concept that was well ahead of its time. In 1986, Wellness Works, was designed to be one of the first corporate wellness programs to incorporate medical doctors, fitness and alternative therapies, both at our centre in Pickering Ontario and onsite for large companies such as GM, Dupont, Grace Chemicals and Sklar Peppler.
Moving to British Columbia with her young son and husband in 1989. Working privately as a personal fitness trainer, while continuing her education in natural therapies,receiving certifications in Aromatherapy, Herbology from Dominion college, studying Organic chemistry and experimenting and developing formulas for natural skin care.
In 1995 she started Cranberry Lane Natural Body Care product, a first in Canada. She developed and taught classes in 7 school boards throughout the mainland. Teaching thousands of eager students to make thier own soaps, bath bombs, body care products, house hold cleaning products. 3 retail stores and a main warehouse and manufacturing facility in Coquitlam.
Selling this successful business in 2004 to move to the island. She continued her education with Ayurveda and became a certified yoga teacher and breathwork specialist. Designed programs for individuals with mental and physical disabilities for the city of Nanaimo as well as a private company Nanaimo Supportive Lifestyles. Today she continues teaching as a yoga therapist, volunteering her time to help others and building her business.
2015 she began studying and taking courses in Mycology (the study of Mycelium/Mushrooms). 2021 she started Sensavia, transforming lives using botanically based blends. Powerful blends made in even more so, through the consciousness and intention behind them. Functional mushrooms such as Lions Mane, Cordyceps, Reishi, Chaga to name a few, have extraordinary health benefits helping the body and mind become healthy and remain that way.
